Gibson Es 330 Vos Electric Guitar

gibson es 330 vos

The Gibson Es 330 Vos Electric Guitar is the rebirth of a classic. Similar to an ES-335 in look and feel, the Gibson Es 330 Vos Electric Guitar is a genuine hollowbody, lacking the solid centerblock of its semi-hollow counterparts. The Custom Gibson Es-330 Vos Electric Guitar is closely modeled on the original release of this classic guitar, and sports an unmistakable vintage vibe to complement its classic sound. With an extremely playable neck and dual P-90 pickups, the Gibson Es 330 Vos Electric Guitar projects outstanding tone for any genre of music.

With Kluson white button tuners and its selection of vintage finishes, the Custom Gibson Es 330 Vos Electric Guitar carries a great vintage swagger and style. With its genuine P-90 pickups and true hollowbody design, this ES-330 sings with a bright, rich tone worthy of the model’s long legacy.

Aged to perfection, Gibson Es 330 Vos Electric Guitar guitars undergo an “aging process” for an oxidized finish and all the dings and scratches you would expect from a well-worn guitar. VOS series guitars look and feel like a 50-year-old guitar should.

I found one that some people call the “long neck” . Of course the neck isn’t any longer, it’s just set in a different place . I’m in love with it ! I almost bought the standard version where the neck joins at the 16th fret. I’m SO glad I got the version that I did . A slimmer neck and easier access to the upper frets . This thing sounds unreal ! The guitar is beautiful . Well built and it smells good too . The vintage sunburst finish suits the guitar perfectly . I am very happy with the build quality on this one . I’ve owned many Gibsons over the years. I also own a Les Paul Standard . It’s the 1960 version 3 VOS . Also a great build . The build quality is much, much better than the ones I have owned that were built in the mid 70’s. Thank You Gibson Es 330 Vos Electric Guitar .

Es 330 Gibson Electric Guitar

Es 330 Gibson Electric Guitar is a wonderful hollowbody with a unique sound guitar. And it has super comfortable action. Gibson Memphis’s Es 330 Gibson Electric Guitar is reminiscent of the classic Gibson, late’ 50s feel, including the comfortable neck shape blending into the soft curves of the rounded fingerboard binding. The Es 330 Gibson Electric Guitar is a lively sounding and lightweight guitar whether played acoustically or plugged in. With the 16th fret neck joint and just the right neck angle, Es 330 Gibson Electric Guitar got a great feel that makes you want to play all night.

The combination of exacting’ 50s body and neck specifications and slightly underwound P-90 pickups on aged nickel-plated bases tied together with an original spec wiring harness will bring you back to the tones of Grant Green in a laid-back New York jazz club. Some people call this guitar’s neck is the “long neck”. As a matter of fact, the neck is set in a different place. A slimmer neck is easier access to the upper frets. This thing sounds unreal ! The guitar is beautiful. Well built and it smells good too. The vintage sunburst finish suits the guitar perfectly. Run it through an old tube amp and you won’t be able to keep from playing one British Invasion song after another.

The weight, the feel and the tone of this Es 330 Gibson Electric Guitar are magical. Offered in old-school colors and all finished in Gibson’s warm Vintage Original Spec process, it’s a guitar that just makes sense from beginning to end.

Look in like an ordinary ES-335 clone, the ES-330 is totally different beast. And it’s not a cruel beast at all – this guitar is like a funny joyful pet. Its ringing sound is light and speedy, resembles much more The Beatles and early 60’s pop rock, than blues or rockabilly.

1968 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar

1968

Music Store Live is proud to present this 1968 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar! We’ve seen plenty of these guitars and we just can’t get enough of them. 1968 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar has not just survived the past 40 years, it has thrived. The feel is instantly that of a guitar that has been played well and taken care of. The neck is quite comfortable and displays just the right amount of play wear with a moderately broken in feel. The neck has stayed straight over the years and it’s set up well with lower action right now. It plays very well with a very limited amount of buzzing not enough to effect the play ability or hamper the tone of this guitar.

This vintage 1968 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar TD is finished in a distinguished looking Sunburst. The fully hollow body design provides a wide open tone and makes for a very resonant and lightweight guitar. The double cutaway design allows for huge access to the upper register from both sides of the neck. Don’t worry about throwing some gain into the mix with these pups just maybe leave the Boss Metal Zone out of the picture you get the idea. The neck joins the body at the 19th fret, a rarer feature that was only available on this model from ’68-’72. This guitar had some modifications to it one point that have been since removed.

The fretboard was leveled a bit at one time, most likely when the frets were replaced. An additional set of nickel thumb wheels has been added to help prevent the tune-o-matic bridge’s common preference for tilting over the years. This 1968 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar comes with a non original but older hard shell case.

Gibson Es 330 1966 Electric Guitar

With later Gibson hardshell case. Very cool.

Gibson Es 330 1966 Electric Guitar Neck Repair
Prior attempts at correcting a variety of neck issues had completely savaged this instrument’s fret board, rendering it unplayable. Examination of the neck after removal of the fret board revealed hairline fractures along the length of the neck, which were invisible from its back contour. The truss rod was seized in its channel and would not adjust . The neck was also warped backwards starting at the fifth fret. Several applications of heat and clamping eventually straightened the neck, allowing us to address the fractures and the truss rod. A new, more massive fret board was fabricated from our stock of Brazilian Rosewood, and period correct inlays were made from a stock of authentic celluloid material we had obtained at the Original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan several decades ago. We added a .024″ veneer between the new fret board and the neck surface to restore the Gibson Es 330 1966’s body to neck height ratio needed to attain good action and play-ability.

A Common complaint regarding many vintage Gibson electrics has been the ultra thin neck depth, and narrow string spacing Gibson introduced during the early to mid 1960′s on specific models. The new fret board and wider binding helped to increase this Gibson Es 330 1966′s string spacing, and also added a comfortable depth to the neck’s back profile. After the frets were installed, we carefully color matched and distressed the new binding, nut and inlays to simulate over fifty years of aging and playing wear.

1965 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar

1965

This is an excellent playing and sounding the 1965 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar. Cherry finish looks amazing and is Super clean. Has the earlier wide nut which makes the neck feel amazing. Original P-90 Pickups are super warm and punchy and full of vintage 330 tone. All original except for the pick guard. Comes with original soft shell case too.

The 1965 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar in a no reserve auction. This one is in the UK. Seller says it has been refretted with larger frets. Additionally, the tuners are Klusons that one would expect to find on an ES-335 — seller notes they are old and no additional holes have been drilled. Seller also notes the pickup covers may have been changed.

How can you don’t love the 1965 Gibson Es 330 Electric Guitar? It’s one of the instruments that helped build the guitar-centric world of today, and this vintage ’65 example is a total keeper. It’s a gorgeous sounding guitar that you almost instantly fall for. The sunburst is really amazing, going to dark cherry at the edges instead of the normal black. Like a lot of vintage instruments it’s had a few changes over the years and this one has a new nut, bridge, and knobs. It once had a humbucker in the bridge position but the original P-90 is back in and the cover almost totally covers up any evidence of the mod. No breaks or repairs to be found though. It’s nice and light and resonant and has a rich tone even before you get near an amp. It’s a joy to plug in though, as the pickups merely amplify what’s already there, it’s hard to get a bad sound of this one.
